An extensive 60-day journey around Australia was terminated following the tragic passing of an older female passenger who was stranded by the vessel on a isolated tropical isle.

The passenger had been walking on the tropical location with shipmates from the cruise ship, but separated from the party for a rest. The ship departed without her and returned several hours later after the crew discovered the woman was not present.

An extensive rescue mission discovered her body the following day.

The child of the elderly passenger said that her family was "stunned and saddened that the vessel left the island after an organised excursion without my mother".
