An additional two individuals are now in custody in connection with a theft at London's Heathrow Airport where over twenty individuals were injured by what is thought to be an irritant spray, as stated by law enforcement.
A 24-year-old man, was taken into custody in the Lambeth area on suspicion of robbery and assault and a woman, 23 was arrested for suspected conspiracy to commit robbery. They both are still being held, the force said.
The arrests follow an investigation into an attack at the multi-level parking garage at Heathrow's Terminal 3 this past Sunday. Prior to the attack, a pair of female travelers had stolen from them their luggage upon exiting a car park lift.
A three-year-old girl was among the injured in the event. Five people went to hospital for treatment and were later discharged.
Police detained a man in his thirties for suspected theft and assault near the location. He was subsequently released pending further inquiries as the investigation proceeds.
Police were alerted at about 8:10 in the morning GMT after reports came in regarding a number of people injured by a noxious substance believed to be an irritant spray.
The assault - an event that police said was isolated and not being treated as an act of terror - caused delays to rail services and the partial closure of the Central Terminal Area tunnel and the T3 car park briefly.
